1. Far East Taco:
Some of of the best pork tacos I've ever had. Parked in Chinatown that day, the truck offered a wide variety of meats and toppings (even making your taco is a four step process.) A friendly staff and a speedy delivery, this is great for workers on their lunch break or tourists grabbing something quick on the go.
What I Ordered: Corn Tortilla, "Flying Pig" (pork), #15 Sauce (I HIGHLY recommend this, my favorite part of the taco), slaw, and Onion-Lime Relish

2. Chicken and Waffles from GBD
Juicy, crunchy, and spicy the boneless fried chicken from GBD is the best way to get your fried fix for the week. Pour some maple syrup over the greasy goodness and take a big bite of their fluffy waffles and you'll be in heaven. Their donuts (the maple bacon is shown in the right hand corner) are also just as indulgent and will remind you why you love food so much again. And it gets even better at brunch, you can pair a coffee and a donut for just $3.
**CALLING ALL BOOZY BRUNCHERS**
GBD also does bottomless mimosa's for only $15, as if their breakfast menu wasn't perfect already.

3. Amsterdam Falafel Shop
For under $10 you can load up a warm pita bread with freshly fried falafel and a display of 22 toppings, I ended up putting so many on mine I ate half of it with a fork. They start the sandwich and you put whatever toppings you want on it. Try it and you'll be happier than a basic bitch at a froyo bar.

4. Thomas Sweet Georgetown
With flavors like Coffee Oreo and Swiss Chocolate Malt, you know you're in good hands to get your ice-cream fix. Nestled away from the busier roads of Georgetown, Thomas Sweet reminds you what summer is all about homemade ice-cream on a warm summer's day. We shouldn't have to go through this DC heat without some kind of cold reward, right?
