How fresh is it? Well the head of the pig still sits at the front of the window, although all it will be is a decoration for the mantle piece by the end of the day. All jokes aside, the owners of the store place freshness as their number one value, having their start as two owners of a butchers shop as well as experience with farms. They got their start at the local farmers' market and have been successful ever since.
So, the sandwich. It was amazingly delicious, the fresh pulled pork was so juicy. Why this sandwich is so famous is because you can taste the freshness, the pulled pork melts off your tongue with the finesse that only freshly roasted meat can accomplish. The oatmeal in the haggis balances the tanginess of the pork and and the onion flavor adds more depth to the simplicity of the roast. The BBQ sauce was great as well but nothing too amazing, as I said next time I'm gunning for the cheese.
